We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. Weâre dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaidâs network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. Role Overview You will be a key contributor to Accounting Operations and own the accounting for accruals, investments, leases, intercompany activity, and cost allocations. This includes preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing balances and trends, and ensuring these areas are complete and accurate each month, quarter, and year-end. You will be the point of contact for your areas during the close and the annual audit. Over time, your responsibilities may expand into other areas of the close as the business and team grow. You will also help build scalable, efficient processes that support Plaidâs growth and public readiness. This includes documenting and strengthening controls in your areas, shortening the close, improving the quality and consistency of supporting documentation, and identifying opportunities to automate manual work. You will partner with the broader Accounting team, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Marketing, and external auditors along the way.
